Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physician Assistant – Certified to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide advanced clinical care across a variety of settings, including inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and specialty clinics. Your expertise will support patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and management while collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic and Cerner.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging, laboratory data, and clinical trials to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Administer injections, including botulinum toxin treatments and dermal fillers, following aseptic techniques and HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy.
  • Manage acute pain cases, ventilator support, airway management, and critical care procedures within hospital settings such as Level I and Level II trauma centers or ICUs.
  • Assist in surgical procedures with skills in suturing, OR experience, catheterization, spinal taps, and other invasive techniques.
  • Coordinate discharge planning, post-acute care, hospice & palliative medicine services while ensuring compliance with NCQA standards.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records using EMR systems like eClinicalWorks or Cerner; ensure proper CPT coding and ICD coding for billing purposes.
  • Support telehealth initiatives by providing virtual consultations and follow-up care utilizing telemedicine platforms.
  • Engage in clinical research and data collection efforts related to infectious disease care, pain management, or other specialties to advance medical knowledge.
  • Participate in triage assessments in emergency room or urgent care settings; respond swiftly to acute care needs such as gastric lavage or dialysis procedures.
  • Educate patients on health coaching topics including family planning, nutrition, addiction counseling, or geriatrics to promote overall well-being.

Experience

  • Valid Physician Assistant certification with current state licensure required.
  • Demonstrated hospital experience across multiple departments including emergency medicine, medical-surgical units, ICU or neonatal intensive care (NICU/PICU).
  • Critical care experience involving ventilator management and airway procedures preferred.
  • Proven proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; experience with ICD-9/10 coding essential for accurate documentation.
  • Hands-on experience in outpatient clinics or primary care settings; familiarity with hospital medicine practices is advantageous.
  • Experience performing procedures like phlebotomy, IV infusions, suturing, and basic life support (BLS).
  • Background in clinical research or public health initiatives is a plus; familiarity with CPT coding for billing is required.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy coupled with excellent patient assessment skills; ability to manage complex cases involving infectious diseases or occupational health concerns is valued. Pay: $800.00 – $1,000.00 per day
