Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physician Assistant – Certified to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including hospital, outpatient, and urgent care environments. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
  • Assist in diagnostic evaluations by ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Administer injections, medications—including botulinum toxin treatments—and perform minor procedures such as suturing and wound care following aseptic techniques.
  • Manage acute pain cases and participate in ventilator management, airway management, and critical care interventions within ICU or Level I/II trauma center environments.
  • Support inpatient and outpatient care by triaging patients effectively in emergency room or urgent care settings; coordinate discharge planning and post-acute care as needed.
  • Engage in clinical research activities, data collection, and analysis to support ongoing studies; contribute to clinical trials related to infectious disease care or pain management.
  • Maintain accurate medical records adhering to HIPAA regulations; document CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) coding for billing purposes using ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards.
  • Provide health coaching on topics such as geriatrics, family planning, addiction counseling, or nutrition; participate in public health initiatives and infection control protocols.

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Physician Assistant from an accredited program; current state licensure required.
  • Proven experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with medical records management is essential.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical procedures including suturing, injection administration, phlebotomy, and basic life support certification.
  • Experience working in hospital settings—such as ICU, neonatal units (PICU), or trauma centers—is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
  • Ability to perform physical examinations accurately; assess patient conditions efficiently during intake or triage processes.
  • Experience with ventilator management, airway management techniques, dialysis procedures, or radiation therapy is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding standards for billing purposes, and data management tools related to clinical research or quality improvement projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across emergency medicine, hospital medicine, primary care, or specialty clinics such as dermatology or occupational health.
