Full Job Description
Medical facility located in Laguna Beach, CA is looking for a qualified and experienced Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner for part-time work as contract worker. Must be comfortable treating all ages (Pediatric to Adults).
Must be comfortable:
– Managing typical urgent care visits such as (and not limited to): Laceration, I&D, fractures, URI, UTI, STDs, PNAs, Otitis Media/External, Allergic reactions, Rashes, Pre-Op examinations and school physical exams
– Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests (X-rays, point of care tests, etc)
– Strong knowledge of vital signs monitoring and interpretation
– Ability to perform thorough physical examinations
– Familiarity with medical office procedures and protocols
– Knowledge of medical coding and billing practices
– Skill in phlebotomy techniques for blood sample collection
– Competence in airway management techniques
Skills must include:
– I&Ds
– Laceration Repairs
– X-ray interpretation
– EKG interpretation
– Ortho, Splinting
– Administer injections IM
– Start IVs
Requirements:
– Computer/EMR skills (Mac and Windows)
– Current CA State Nurse Practitioner license OR Physician Assistant license
– DEA Certificate
– Must carry your own malpractice insurance
– Computer/EMR skills (Mac and Windows)
– ACLS/BLS
– Excellent organizational skills
– Personable, friendly, professional appearance and attitude
– Willing to work part time/weekend
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $65.00 – $75.00 per hour
