Columbia Mental Health seeks a Behavioral Health Advanced Practice Provider to deliver comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaborative care in Washington, DC. You’ll treat diverse adults with mood, anxiety, and other mental health conditions using evidence-based, patient-centered approaches. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and formulate diagnoses Provide ongoing medication management and monitor treatment response Develop and update individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other clinicians on holistic care Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and treatment options Document all encounters accurately in the EHR and maintain regulatory compliance Participate in case conferences, quality initiatives, and clinical supervision Contribute to an inclusive, empathetic, and recovery-oriented environment Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities Required Skills Psychiatric assessment and diagnosis (DSM-5) Psychopharmacology and medication management Suicide and risk assessment Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Care coordination and interprofessional collaboration Treatment planning for mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders Motivational interviewing and brief psychotherapeutic interventions Crisis intervention and de-escalation Regulatory compliance (HIPAA, documentation standards) Outcome tracking and quality improvement
