Position Summary
Hometown Urgent Care & Occupational Health is seeking a DOT-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support onsite occupational health services. This role focuses primarily on performing Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examinations in a professional, efficient, and patient-centered environment.
This is a part-time position with consistent weekly hours and opportunities for additional onsite coverage.
Schedule
Required Availability:
- Mondays: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Wednesdays: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Additional Opportunities:
- Optional onsite shifts at other employer locations as available
Key Responsibilities
- Perform DOT physical examinations in accordance with FMCSA guidelines
- Accurately complete and submit all required DOT documentation and certifications
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company occupational health regulations
- Maintain timely and accurate medical records
- Provide clear communication and education to patients regarding DOT requirements
- Collaborate with onsite staff and occupational health teams to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and patient care
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Ohio
- Current DOT Medical Examiner Certification (FMCSA required) – REQUIRED
- Experience in occupational health, urgent care, or primary care preferred
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work independently in an onsite/employer-based setting
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience performing DOT physicals
- Familiarity with occupational health services and employer-based care models
