Job Title: Physician Assistant – Radiation Oncology (Outpatient) Location: Waterbury & Bristol, CT Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (No nights, weekends, or on-call)

About the Practice We are a premier oncology group serving the Waterbury and Bristol communities. Our practice is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care at the intersection of surgical and medical oncology. We are looking for a motivated Physician Assistant who is eager to specialize in the rewarding field of radiation oncology.

Role Overview As a Radiation Oncology PA, you will be a vital member of the multidisciplinary care team. The “lion’s share” of this role involves the clinical management of patients currently undergoing radiation therapy, as well as conducting comprehensive follow-up and survivorship visits.

Key Responsibilities

  • On-Treatment Management: Monitor patient tolerance to radiation, manage acute side effects, and provide medical and emotional support throughout the treatment course.
  • Follow-Up Care: Conduct surveillance visits for post-treatment patients, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to monitor for recurrence.
  • Consultation visits for established patients: Evaluating new problems for consideration of additional treatments, usually with palliative goals of care. Management of pain medications.
  • Collaborative Care: Work closely with Radiation Oncologists to adjust treatment plans and coordinate care with surgical and medical oncology partners.
  • Patient Advocacy: Act as a primary point of contact for patients facing significant clinical and personal challenges during their journey.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current Connecticut PA license (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Prior experience in oncology is preferred, but we are willing to mentor a candidate with a strong interest in the specialty.

Job Details: Salary and benefits package:

· Salary: Range based on experience

  • o New grad: 105,000
  • o Onc experience : 135,000

· 5 days a week 7:30-4:30, No call

· 10 pto

· 5 sick days

· 5 CME with $1200 yearly allowance

· Health insurance (must price out/allowance)

· 401K

Pay: $110,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
