We are looking for a dedicated, detailed-oriented Medical Assistant to join the team in helping with highly specific and personalized care.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a versatile Medical Assistant to support the practice with both clinical, procedure-based, and administrative responsibilities. The candidate will act as the bridge between patients and providers, ensuring a seamless, high-touch experience. You must be comfortable with both front-office tasks and hands-on clinical procedures. The individual hired for this position must be an optimistic person who naturally greets patients with a smile, and who is ambitious and wants to be trained in frontline therapies. If the right candidate is found, we are willing to pay for future trainings and advancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Support & Procedures: Room patients, obtain vitals, and update medical histories.
- Specialized Procedures: Assist with in-office procedures within scope, including phlebotomy, IV therapy setup, IM injections, and assisting with neuro-diagnostic tests.
- Psychiatry Focus: Administer and score functional medicine and psychiatric screening tools.
- Functional Medicine: Assist in coordinating specialized functional lab kits (stool testing, neurotransmitter testing, genetic testing).
- Administrative/Office Work: Manage EHR documentation, schedule appointments, and manage patient phone calls.
- Patient Care: Educate patients on treatment protocols and lifestyle recommendations provided by the doctor.
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) or Registration (RMA) preferred.
- High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical setting
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR) software.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology.
- Excellent phlebotomy and IV skills (highly desired).
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 per week
