Medical practice seeking for Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioner to work in the field of Primary Care (Internal or Family) Medicine

You will work closely with the doctor and another nurse practitioner with offices in South Orange and Orange, NJ. As part of the care team you will have the opportunity to work alongside the doctor in both the office and the hospital setting. In the beginning, you will primarily work in the primary care setting conducting physical examinations, interpreting lab tests, formulate diagnosis and managing medical conditions/diseases and overseeing patients’ health. Depending upon your interest and practice need you will have the opportunity to also work in the inpatient hospital setting.
While the existing providers will provide you needed support and guidance, you will primarily be responsible for providing office based patient care, therefore at least 2 year work experience in urgent care, internal, family or clinic care setting is needed.
Also, while not required any experience with Dialysis / ESRD related patient care is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Examine patients and their medical records
- Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
- Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
- Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
- Prescribe medications
- Maintain accurate records and schedules
- Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
- Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention
- Oversee patients’ overall health
- Promote good health practices
- Advance professional knowledge

Pay: $110,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
