Vascular Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (NP/PA)
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide high-quality patient care across all phases of vascular and vein treatment. You will work directly with a vascular surgeon, conducting consultations, managing pre- and post-procedure care, and performing in-office injection procedures.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $130,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year
- Type: Full-time, In-person
- Hours: Monday – Thursday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), Friday (8:00 AM – 1:30 PM)
- Balance: Day shifts only. No nights. No weekends.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Conduct new patient consultations on the vein/vascular (GVV) side of the practice, evaluating chronic venous insufficiency and related conditions.
- Work up patients for treatment — history, physical exam, and development of treatment plans in coordination with the vascular surgeon.
- Collaborate closely with registered vascular ultrasonographers to correlate diagnostic findings with clinical presentation.
- Perform cosmetic/visual sclerotherapy (training provided).
- Perform ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy using real-time ultrasound guidance (training provided).
- Manage pre- and post-procedure patient care and follow-up.
- Special consideration to those with previous surgical/procedural experience or those who are familiar with ultrasound or venipuncture.
Collaboration & Practice Model
- Function as part of a collaborative care team alongside the supervising vascular surgeon and clinical staff.
- Communicate findings and treatment recommendations clearly to patients and team members.
Administration & Compliance
- Interface with primary care physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure clinic policies support sound, safe, and lawful patient care.
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and “Incident To” billing.
- Participate in data collection and analysis of clinical outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
Education & Licensure
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensure in Georgia.
- Passed national board certification exams.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Experience & Skills
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience as an NP or PA.
- Bonus: Previous surgical, procedural, venipuncture, or ultrasound experience.
- Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Proven experience performing phlebotomy and maintaining sterile techniques.
- Proficiency using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients and collaborate with the team.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Knowledge of sterile technique
- Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Strong understanding of Incident To services
- Strong customer service and communications skills and the ability to articulate, educate both verbally and in written form to patients and healthcare pro
