Job Overview
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to serve as the primary medical provider/prescriber for a sexual health clinic focused on HIV prevention and STI screening and treatment.

This is a part-time, protocol-driven role centered on PrEP/PEP management, laboratory review, and focused patient encounters conducted both in-person and via telehealth. This is not a primary care position.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working within structured clinical protocols, managing sexual health services, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support patient engagement and continuity of care.

This role is ideal for a provider seeking a focused, part-time opportunity in HIV prevention and sexual health with a clearly defined scope of practice and strong clinical support.

Duties

  • Conduct focused clinical visits for sexual health services, including PrEP/PEP initiation and follow-up, STI evaluation, and related care.
  • Perform patient assessments via telehealth and in-person visits.
  • Review and interpret laboratory results, including HIV/STI testing and PrEP-related labs, and take appropriate clinical action.
  • Prescribe PrEP, PEP, and STI treatments in accordance with established clinical protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide patient education and counseling related to HIV prevention, treatment adherence, and sexual health.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and Wellness Navigators to ensure appropriate follow-up, care coordination, and patient retention.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR, ensuring compliance with clinical, regulatory, and 340B program requirements.
  • Deliver care in alignment with standing orders and Medical Director oversight, escalating complex cases as needed.
  • Support clinic operations through flexible scheduling, including evening and weekend availability as required.

Requirements

  • Licensure: Current, active, and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the State of Florida. License must be in good standing with no encumbrances in accordance with Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) requirements.
  • DEA: Not required based on current scope of services.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience required.
  • Clinical Knowledge: Experience or strong familiarity with HIV prevention, STI screening and treatment, and PrEP/PEP services preferred. Familiarity with 340B program requirements, including patient eligibility and compliant prescribing practices with contract pharmacies is a plus.
  • Practice Model: Ability to work independently within established clinical protocols and standing orders. This is a focused, non-primary care role.
  • Telehealth: Comfort conducting patient visits via telehealth platforms.
  • Documentation: Ability to complete accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in an electronic medical record (EMR) system (e.g., eClinicalWorks).
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team including RN staff and patient navigators.
  • Location: Ability to work on-site in Wilton Manors, FL, with some telehealth flexibility.
  • Schedule: Availability for approximately 6–8 hours per week, including some evenings and Saturdays.
  • Level II Florida AHCA Background Screening: Candidates must successfully pass a fingerprint-based Level II background check as a condition of employment. This screening is mandatory with no exceptions and must be cleared through the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Clearinghouse before assuming duties.
