As a licensed professional provider, you will collaborate with attending physicians in various practice settings, delivering outstanding diagnostic and therapeutic patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Care:
  • Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient/family needs across different practice settings.
  • Collaborate with attending supervising physicians, following state laws, hospital regulations, and clinical pathways.
  • Perform medical histories, physical examinations, and manage patient treatment plans.
  • Educate patients/families on care, available resources, treatment plans, and potential side effects.
  • Patient Education & Psychosocial Support:
  • Educate patients/families on care, treatment plans, and available resources.
  • Offer psychosocial support to patients, family members, and significant others in a caring and professional manner.
  • Information Management:
  • Ensure appropriate documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory requirements.
  • Safeguard all forms of information from unauthorized access or disclosure.
  • Quality Management:
  • Demonstrate high standards of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, and commitment to patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with patient-related healthcare regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Professional Development:
  • Engage in projects to maintain and advance professional competency.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for new house staff, providing orientation and mentorship.
  • Collaborate on research and quality assurance projects.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a PA, with at least 6 months within YNHHS.
  • Endorsed for promotion via the APP Career Ladder process.
  • Licensure:
  • Active PA Certification by NCCPA.
  • Connecticut State Physician Assistant License.
  • ACLS/BLS Certified (when indicated for position profile).
  • DEA License (when indicated for position profile).
  • PALS (when indicated for pediatric care).
  • NRP Certification (when indicated for neonatal care).

Additional Information:

  • Greenwich-based position with a flexible 4 x 10 hour days schedule.
  • Prefer robotic experience in the OR and/or urologic experience of at least one year.
  • Open to new graduates or individuals with less experience.
