Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments including intake, vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for diverse patient populations.
• Prescribe medications following HIPAA regulations and DEA guidelines, including injections and medication administration for acute and chronic conditions.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations by interpreting lab results, imaging studies, and diagnostic tests such as ECGs or radiology reports.
• Assist in procedures like suturing, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, spinal taps, and catheterizations within hospital or outpatient settings.
• Manage urgent care cases including triage of emergency room patients, airway management, ventilator support, and critical care interventions in Level I or Level II trauma centers.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems like eClinicalWorks or Cerner while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Participate in clinical research trials and data collection efforts to advance medical knowledge and improve patient outcomes.
• Support hospital discharge planning, post-acute care coordination, hospice & palliative medicine services, and follow-up care management.

Requirements

• Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification from the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants).
• Demonstrated experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU or critical care environments; Level I or Level II trauma center experience preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic or Cerner; telehealth experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding for billing purposes.
• Hands-on experience with procedures including suturing, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, phlebotomy, and IV infusion therapy.
• Critical care experience involving ventilator management and airway control; neonatal ventilator or PICU experience is advantageous.
• Ability to perform diagnostic test interpretation and manage complex cases involving infectious disease care or pain management.
• Excellent client communication skills with a focus on client-centered care; ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical record management standards; commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Pay: $50.00 – $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
