Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Infusion Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing specialty infusion clinic. The Infusion NP will provide direct patient care, oversee infusion treatments, manage medication protocols, and collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure safe, high-quality infusion services.
This role is ideal for an NP with experience in infusion therapy, rheumatology, oncology, infectious disease, gastroenterology, or other specialty infusion services.
Key Responsibilities

Perform patient evaluations, including initial and follow-up assessments related to infusion therapy

Review referrals, labs, and treatment plans to determine infusion eligibility and appropriateness

Prescribe and manage infusion medications per protocol and physician collaboration

Monitor patients during infusion treatments and manage infusion-related reactions or adverse events

Provide clinical oversight and support to infusion nursing staff

Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the EMR

Educate patients and caregivers on infusion therapies, potential side effects, and treatment expectations

Collaborate with supervising/collaborating physicians and multidisciplinary care teams

Ensure compliance with clinic protocols, payer requirements, and regulatory standards

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocol development as needed
Qualifications

Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of Nevada (or ability to obtain)

National NP certification (ANCC or AANP)

Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)

Current BLS (ACLS preferred)

Minimum 1 year of NP experience (infusion, specialty medicine, or acute care preferred)

Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills

Experience with infusion medications and biologics preferred

Proficiency with electronic medical records (Weinfuse) is a plus.

Excellent communication and patient-education skills
Preferred Experience

Infusion therapy experience (biologics, IV medications, specialty drugs)

Background in rheumatology, oncology, infectious disease, gastroenterology, or immunology

Familiarity with infusion protocols, standing orders, and emergency response procedures

Collaborative practice experience in an outpatient clinic setting
