Genetic Counselor – Maternal-Fetal Medicine
Join our team and play a vital role in providing exceptional care to mothers and babies in the Las Vegas community. We are a busy, highly collaborative, and premier perinatal practice in Las Vegas. Our dedicated team includes six Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physicians, six Nurse Practitioners, two Genetic Counselors, and a robust support staff of over 100 nurses, sonographers, and administrative professionals. We offer comprehensive prenatal and pre-conception genetic counseling services across a wide range of clinical indications.
Location: Las Vegas, NV (Rotation between all practice locations required)
Job Type: Full-time, In-office
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $48.00 (commensurate with experience)
Job Summary
As a Perinatal Genetic Counselor, you will provide compassionate, comprehensive genetic counseling to patients and families navigating complex reproductive choices. You will manage a diverse case caseload, including advanced maternal age, abnormal maternal-fetal screening, fetal anomalies, multiple pregnancy losses, family history of genetic disease, and teratogenic exposures.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Counseling: Obtain complete reproductive, medical, and family histories. Discuss risk factors, offer appropriate testing options, and explain complex results in a supportive, easy-to-understand manner.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with MFM physicians, RNs, sonographers, and office staff to provide seamless, multidisciplinary care.
- Documentation: Maintain timely, complete, and accurate dictation and charting.
- Resource Expert: Serve as a reliable clinical resource for referring Obstetricians and outside medical staff.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree from an accredited genetic counseling program.
- Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC).
- Eligibility: U.S. citizenship or a valid work permit required.
- Skills: Strong independent judgment, excellent interpersonal/written communication, and solid computer proficiency. Must be comfortable discussing all reproductive options.
- Language: Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
Pay: $48.00 – $50.00 per hour
