Overview

IV Vitamin Therapy Clinic is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner / APRN to join our clinical team. We are looking for someone who wants a stable, long-term role in a professional medical clinic environment.

This is a clinic-based position. The provider will work directly with patients in the clinic, perform patient assessments, support treatment planning, administer IV therapy, and help maintain safe and professional clinic operations.

We are currently looking for coverage on Monday and Tuesday, with the goal of expanding this role to 4–5 days per week for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate must be excellent at starting IVs and comfortable with small veins, dehydrated patients, difficult sticks, and challenging IV access. This is a key requirement for the position.

This is not a training role. Applicants must already be highly skilled with IV insertions and must be able to handle difficult IV starts independently without needing help from another nurse or provider. You will not be learning, practicing, or developing IV skills on patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide patient assessments, clinical evaluations, diagnosis support, and treatment planning within scope of practice
  • Administer IV therapy safely and professionally in a clinical setting
  • Start IVs confidently and independently on a wide range of patients
  • Perform difficult IV insertions, including small veins, dehydrated patients, and challenging access cases
  • Handle difficult sticks without requiring assistance from another nurse or provider
  • Accurately document patient care, assessments, treatments, and follow-up notes in EMR/EHR systems
  • Educate patients on IV therapy, wellness plans, treatment expectations, and preventive care
  • Follow all infection control, safety, medication handling, and clinical protocols
  • Collaborate with RNs, APRNs, and clinic leadership to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Assist with onboarding, shadowing, and supporting new team members as needed
  • Help maintain professional clinic flow, patient experience, documentation, and light administrative duties
  • Maintain strict confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with clinic policies
  • Be willing to learn more about advanced wellness therapies, including regenerative medicine topics such as stem cells and exosomes

Required Qualifications

  • Active Nurse Practitioner / APRN license in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of IV therapy experience preferred
  • Excellent IV-starting skills required
  • Must be able to start IVs independently without assistance
  • Must be confident with difficult sticks, small veins, and dehydrated patients
  • Must not require hands-on IV training during onboarding
  • Strong experience with difficult IV insertions required
  • Ability to perform IV insertions safely, professionally, and consistently from day one
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
  • Comfortable making patient-care decisions within scope of practice
  • High standards for safety, documentation, patient care, and confidentiality
  • Willingness to work primarily in a clinic-based environment
  • Consistent availability for a long-term 4–5 day per week role preferred

Preferred Attributes

  • Confident, dependable, and clinically experienced
  • Excellent with IV access and difficult vein patients
  • Strong communication and patient education skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for a high-end medical clinic
  • Team-oriented and willing to support clinic operations
  • Comfortable working with wellness, IV therapy, preventive health, and advanced treatment protocols
  • Able to remain calm, professional, and efficient in a busy clinic environment
  • Interested in growing with the clinic long-term

Compensation

This position pays $45/hour plus generous daily tips. Tips commonly range from $100–$300 per day, which significantly increases the overall earning potential.

The base hourly rate is lower because the position includes strong tip potential from clinic patients.

Schedule

We are looking for someone with strong availability, ideally:

Preferred Schedule: Monday–FridayMinimum Preferred Availability: 4 days per weekCurrent Priority Days: Monday and Tuesday, with additional days available as the position grows

This role is best suited for someone looking for consistent weekly hours, not occasional per diem shifts.

Training and Evaluation Period

A training, shadowing, and assessment period is required before the official start. During this time, we will evaluate clinical judgment, IV skill level, patient communication, professionalism, documentation accuracy, and overall fit with the clinic.

Applicants should understand that the training period is not intended to teach basic or advanced IV skills. Candidates must already be highly proficient with IV insertions before being hired.

There is a 90-day evaluation period for this position.

Important Long-Term Commitment

This position is designed for someone seeking a stable, long-term role. It is not intended to be a temporary, per diem, or transitional “bridge” position while waiting for school, another job, or another program.

We invest heavily in training, patient safety, and clinic systems. Because of that, we are looking for someone who can commit to at least 12–24 months with consistent availability.

Additional Requirements

  • Strict adherence to uniform, health, and safety protocols
  • Accurate documentation and patient charting required
  • Light administrative duties may be part of the role
  • Light financial reporting may be required as part of daily clinic operations
  • Must maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced APRN who is confident with IV therapy, difficult sticks, patient assessments, and independent clinical decision-making. We are looking for someone who is already excellent at starting IVs, does not need help with difficult sticks, and wants to be part of a serious, professional medical clinic focused on patient safety, clinical quality, and excellent service.
