Job Overview

• Job Title: Physician Assistant – Pediatric Cardiac ICU
• Location: Rochester, NY
• Schedule: (13×3) 6am – 7pm; 6pm – 7am: 13hr D/N Rotating Shift Schedules
• Duration: 6-9 months
• Scheduled Hours: 39 Hours per Week
• Expected Pay: $5,350/Week ($104/HR on W2 + $1,450/Week Stipend)
• Start date: 07/20/2026

Responsibilities

• Manage critically ill pediatric congenital cardiac patients in the Pediatric Cardiac ICU
• Provide care for:
• Pre- and post-operative cardiac surgery patients
• High-risk single ventricle physiology
• Open chest management
• Arrhythmia management
• Vasopressor support
• External and internal pacemakers
• VA/VV ECMO
• CRRT patients
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Monitor and stabilize critically ill pediatric and occasional adult congenital heart disease patients
• Participate in comprehensive patient management in a dynamic ICU setting

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience
• Strong knowledge of complex congenital cardiac anatomy and physiology
• Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program
• Active New York State Physician Assistant License in good standing
• Current NCCPA Certification
• Current BLS Certification through AHA
• Current PALS Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric Acute Care Physician Assistant Certification
