Job Title: Physician Assistant – Radiation Oncology (Outpatient) Location: Waterbury & Bristol, CT Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (No nights, weekends, or on-call)

About the Practice

We are a premier oncology group serving the Waterbury and Bristol communities. Our practice is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care at the intersection of surgical and medical oncology. We are looking for a motivated Physician Assistant who is eager to specialize in the rewarding field of radiation oncology.

Role Overview

As a Radiation Oncology PA, you will be a vital member of the multidisciplinary care team. The “lion’s share” of this role involves the clinical management of patients currently undergoing radiation therapy, as well as conducting comprehensive follow-up and survivorship visits.

Key Responsibilities

On-Treatment Management: Monitor patient tolerance to radiation, manage acute side effects, and provide medical and emotional support throughout the treatment course.

Follow-Up Care: Conduct surveillance visits for post-treatment patients, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to monitor for recurrence.

Collaborative Care: Work closely with Radiation Oncologists to adjust treatment plans and coordinate care with surgical and medical oncology partners.

Patient Advocacy: Act as a primary point of contact for patients facing significant clinical and personal challenges during their journey.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Current Connecticut PA license (or eligibility to obtain).

Prior experience in oncology is preferred, but we are willing to mentor a candidate with a strong interest in the specialty.

Pay: $100,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
