About the role
We are seeking a motivated Lead Radiology Technologist to oversee day-to-day imaging operations, train MA’s and radiologic technologists on digital X‑ray software and positioning, and provide hands-on patient care on the floor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced rad tech looking to grow into a leadership role.
Key responsibilities
- Train and mentor MA’s and radiology technologists on digital X‑ray software, workflow, and best practices
- Provide training and hands‑on coaching for proper patient positioning and imaging techniques
- Perform diagnostic X‑rays and deliver direct patient care with compassion and professionalism
- Serve as the go‑to resource for troubleshooting software, image quality, and positioning issues
- Maintain or help enforce department policies, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards
- Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and administration to optimize patient throughput and imaging quality
- Assist with scheduling, workflow optimization, and onboarding of new staff as needed
- Document training activities and maintain competency records
Qualifications
- ARRT (or state equivalent) certification in Radiography required
- Active state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
- 3–5 years (or more) clinical radiologic technologist experience, with demonstrated proficiency in general radiography
- Experience with digital X‑ray systems and PACS; comfortable teaching others
- Strong clinical skills in patient positioning and radiation safety
- Excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred
- Prior experience training or mentoring staff
- Experience with workflow optimization or quality improvement projects

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.50 – $35.83 per hour
