Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physiological evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing your expertise in areas such as acute pain management, geriatrics, pediatrics, or behavioral health.
- Perform diagnostic procedures including sonography, spinal taps, catheterizations, and IV insertions to support accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.
- Manage medication administration, including injections and IV infusions, while ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Provide patient education on health coaching topics like nutrition, disease management, and post-discharge care plans.
- Collaborate with specialists in fields such as gastroenterology, infectious disease care, esthetic laser treatments, or hospice & palliative medicine to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practices within the organization.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current certification from an accredited program.
- Demonstrated experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU/CCU/Neonatal ventilator care, or outpatient clinics.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; experience with CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9/10) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology along with excellent patient assessment skills.
- Experience performing sterile procedures such as suturing and specimen collection/processing.
- Critical care experience including ICU or Level I/II trauma center exposure preferred; familiarity with ventilator management and airway procedures is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with vulnerable populations including children, seniors in memory/dementia care or assisted living settings.

Pay: $50,000.00 – $137,000.00 per year
