Full Job Description

We are seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant (PA) at our Clinic. Previous experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Primary Care is preferred. This role is ideal for a clinician who is experienced and looking to provide patient- and provider-centered care. The PA will primarily be covering Urgent Care, seeing urgent and same day appointment patients.

We’re a family-owned practice that prioritizes patients, empowers our team through fast decision-making, and values people over bureaucracy. We have physician (MD) onsite for training, mentorship and to discuss complex cases. You will have direct access to the practice owners without any bureaucratic structure.

There would be lot of room for growth and pay scale increase and to establish yourself long term with this position. Sign-on Bonus will be given upon joining.

Location: Zenith Primary & Urgent Care, Marlborough, MA

Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care:

– Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.

– Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, conditions, and injuries.

– Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans.

– Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate.

– Order and interpret diagnostic studies (X-ray, EKG, labs, rapid tests)

2. Clinical Procedures:

– Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting).

– Conduct minor surgical procedures and wound care as needed.

3. Collaboration and Communication:

– Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and front-desk staff to ensure coordinated patient care.

– Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the clinic’s team regarding patient care and treatment plans.

– Document patient visits, treatments, and progress in electronic medical records (EMR) accurately and promptly.

4. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

– Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and protocols.

– Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and healthcare standards.

– Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

5. Professional Development:

– Stay current with medical knowledge and advancements by participating in continuing education opportunities.

– Maintain professional licensure and certifications as required.

Qualifications:

– Current licensure as a PA in Massachusetts.

– Certification from a recognized certifying body

– Clinical experience in an emergency medicine, urgent care, primary care or ambulatory care setting is preferred.

– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

– Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

– Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

– ACLS certified.
