Position Summary
The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will provide medical oversight and direct clinical support across multiple clinical trials. You will evaluate participants, perform protocol-required procedures, monitor safety, and serve as a trusted clinical resource for both patients and study staff. Your work ensures that our community receives safe, accessible, and high-quality research opportunities.
Key Responsibilities – Clinical Oversight
- Conduct physical exams, focused assessments, and medical evaluations required by protocol.
- Review inclusion and exclusion criteria and support eligibility determinations.
- Monitor participant safety, assess adverse events, and escalate to the PI as needed.
- Provide efficient medical decision-making during study visits.
Protocol Execution
- Perform study-specific procedures such as injections, specimen collection, ECGs, vitals, and other protocol-driven assessments.
- Document all clinical findings accurately in source documents and EDC systems.
- Maintain strict compliance with ICH GCP, FDA regulations, IRB requirements, and MACOA-Health SOPs.
- Ensure proper oversight of investigational products when applicable.
Participant & Community Support
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with participants, ensuring comfort, understanding, and trust.
- Help guide participants through visit expectations in a way that is culturally respectful, especially within Native American and underserved populations.
- Work hand-in-hand with CRCs and investigators to maintain efficient visit flow and exceptional participant experience.
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain high-quality documentation for audits, monitoring visits, and inspections.
- Participate in staff training sessions and clarify medical components of protocol requirements.
- Support continuous improvement in site processes and quality systems.
Qualifications
- Active Arizona license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience; research experience highly preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, patient-care skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving research environment while maintaining excellent documentation standards.
- Compassionate communicator who is comfortable serving diverse and underserved communities.

Pay: $85,000.00 – $135,000.00 per year
