Physician Assistant in Child Neurology and Neuromuscular Medicine Clinical Opportunity
We are eager to welcome a Physician Assistant to our growing Pediatric Neurology team, providing innovative care to patients with Neurologic and Neuromuscular needs. This position offers a variety of experiences within our specialty clinic. Provide care in our Neuromuscular Center of Excellence where we pursue revolutionary lifesaving treatments for patients with muscular dystrophies, spinal muscular atrophy and neuropathies. These patients benefit from consistent communication and collaboration as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The Novel Therapeutics and Gene Therapy Center at CHKD provides investigational medication to patients with previously untreatable conditions, and we are seeking an individual to participate in providing care for our patients who travel from throughout the country to receive their treatment with us. The role also includes some clinical experience in our General Neurology clinic where we serve children with seizures, migraines, and developmental delays as well. This is a full time, outpatient clinical position, where the PA will work closely with the Neurologist to provide continuity of care and communication for patients and families, ensuring supportive longitudinal relationships. We maintain a commitment to training and providing ongoing collaboration, such that prior Neurology experience is not required. Required Qualifications:
Current or pending NCCPA Certification, Virginia Board of Medicine PA license and DEA license
