Full Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION: This is a nighttime position for an advanced practice provider who will perform histories and physical examinations, initiate treatment plans for children requiring admission to the hospitalist team, and respond to medical and behavioral alerts for children on the hospitalist team. This provider will work alongside senior pediatric residents and be involved in caring for a wide spectrum of pediatric illness across the pediatric age spectrum. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the acute care setting.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING MINIMUM: Current Virginia state license as a Registered Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Registered Family Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant holding a valid Compact State license. Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a pediatric inpatient hospital setting is preferred. Current clinical competence required. BLS and PALS required.
HOURS: 168 hours (14 x 12-hour shifts) per month. No holiday shifts are required. Part-time inquiries will be considered.
