Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Physician Assistant to join our private obstetrical and gynecological healthcare team, providing exceptional patient care. OB/GYN experience is required. Must have an Active, Valid Virginia Certification & License. Salary based on experience and knowledge. The job description includes conducting physical examinations, interpreting lab tests and overseeing patients’ health, contraceptive management including placement and removal of LARCs, etc. In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive medical services. Your expertise will support diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients, ensuring high-quality outcomes and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to gather vital signs, medical history, and current health status.
• Assist in diagnostic evaluations by interpreting laboratory results, imaging studies, and diagnostic tests such as ultrasound or EKGs.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with collaborative practice agreements and HIPAA regulations.
• Perform procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, catheterizations, and wound care while adhering to sterile techniques.
• Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Support triage processes in urgent care or emergency room environments by prioritizing patient needs efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU or critical care environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and data management.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10 coding standards for billing and documentation purposes.
• Excellent client communication skills paired with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice across various clinical settings.
