Genesis Medical Group is a multi-specialty practice dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a compassionate environment close to home. We are seeking a full time, experienced Physician Assistant to join our Medical Oncology team. As a Physician Assistant in our oncology department, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients. We value the relationships we build with our patients and we continuously educate ourselves to stay at the forefront of advancements in healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to oncology patients.
- Conduct patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical examinations, and review of diagnostic tests.
- Monitor and manage patients’ progress throughout the course of treatment.
- Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and potential side effects.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and efficient care delivery.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Active and unrestricted Texas Physician Assistant license.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Physician Assistant, preferably in oncology.
- Strong knowledge of oncology principles, practices, and treatment modalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems.
