About the Role
Affinity Urgent Care is seeking confident, patient-focused Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join our growing urgent care team. We have opportunities available for both full-time and PRN providers.
This position is ideal for providers who enjoy practicing full-scope urgent care medicine in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Providers will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages while managing a wide range of acute illnesses, minor injuries, occupational health visits, and procedure-based care.
You will practice independently while supported by an experienced clinical and administrative team. Our goal is to maintain a supportive environment with strong clinical teamwork, efficient workflows, and balanced scheduling.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages
- Manage acute illnesses, minor injuries, occupational health visits, and workers’ compensation cases
- Perform urgent care procedures, including suturing, incision and drainage, splinting, wound care, and other minor procedures within scope of practice
- Order and interpret X-rays, labs, and EKGs
- Perform DOT physicals, pre-employment exams, and other occupational medicine services
- Develop treatment plans and provide clear patient education and discharge instructions
- Accurately and efficiently document patient encounters in the EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative leadership
- Support efficient clinic flow while maintaining a positive patient experience
- Maintain compliance with clinic policies, protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements

What We’re Looking For
- Active, unrestricted Texas Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Board certification
- Active DEA license, or ability to obtain
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Ability to practice independently, make sound clinical decisions, and manage urgent care visits with confidence
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Comfortable treating patients across the lifespan
- Urgent Care, Emergency Department, Family Medicine, or similar experience preferred
- DOT certification preferred; required within 90 days of employment
Schedule & Shift Requirements
Full-Time Providers:
- Minimum of 12 shifts per month
- Mix of weekday and rotating weekend shifts
- Eligible for full-time benefits in accordance with plan requirements
PRN Providers:
- Minimum of 3 shifts per month
- Must provide availability in advance to support monthly scheduling needs
- Weekend and high-need coverage availability preferred
Providers may be scheduled at La Marque and Alvin locations based on clinic needs.
Pay: $75.00 – $85.00 per hour
