We are currently looking for a FT Speech Language Pathologist with excellent customer service – energetic, friendly and caring – to provide our guests with compassionate and personal treatment.

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work within our skilled nursing facility to provide high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services to residents experiencing communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing (dysphagia) impairments.

  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans aimed at functional outcomes.

  • Perform bedside swallow evaluations and provide recommendations for diet textures and compensatory strategies.

  • Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team, including PTs, OTs, Nursing, and Dietary staff, to ensure holistic patient care.

  • Provide education and training to residents, families, and facility staff regarding communication and swallowing safety.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with Medicare and facility guidelines

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

  • Active State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred (CFY candidates may be considered based on supervision availability).

  • Bilingual (Spanish / English Speaking) preferred.
  • Experience in a Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care setting is highly preferred.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with geriatric patients.
