Leg Pain & Vascular Institute is a growing outpatient vascular and interventional radiology practice focused on delivering advanced minimally invasive treatments for peripheral arterial disease, venous disease, knee pain, and other vascular conditions. We pride ourselves on providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a modern outpatient setting.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a strong interest in vascular medicine and interventional procedures to join our team full-time.
Position Overview
This role involves working closely alongside our Interventional Radiologist in both clinic and procedural settings. The ideal candidate is comfortable independently evaluating patients, discussing treatment plans in detail, and participating in minimally invasive vascular procedures.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage new patient consultations in an outpatient clinic setting
- Perform history and physical examinations
- Review imaging, diagnostic studies, and treatment plans with patients
- Educate patients thoroughly regarding planned vascular and interventional procedures
- Assist the Interventional Radiologist during office-based procedures
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care
- Document clinical encounters accurately within the EMR
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure excellent patient care and workflow
Qualifications
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (FNP-C, AGACNP-BC, or ACNPC-AG) or Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) license
- Must be licensed to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant in the state of Texas
- Experience in vascular medicine, interventional radiology, cardiology, vascular surgery, or related specialty preferred
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient environment
- Experience with outpatient procedures preferred
- Spanish speaking is a plus
Preferred (Not Required)
- Moderate sedation experience and/or certification
- Experience assisting with minimally invasive vascular procedures
- Ultrasound-guided vascular access experience
