Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and vital signs monitoring specific to vascular conditions.
  • Assist vascular surgeons during surgical procedures such as catheterizations, vascular repairs, and minimally invasive interventions.
  • Manage pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring optimal recovery and patient education on vascular health maintenance.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Epic and Cerner to document findings accurately.
  • Administer injections, including Botulinum toxin treatments for select vascular or neurological conditions, following aseptic techniques.
  • Coordinate triage and urgent care for patients presenting with acute pain or vascular emergencies within hospital or outpatient settings.
  • Support clinical research initiatives by collecting data, managing medical records, and participating in clinical trials related to vascular medicine.
  • Engage in telehealth consultations to extend vascular care services remotely while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Contribute to discharge planning, patient education on lifestyle modifications, and follow-up scheduling for ongoing vascular management.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, CPT coding standards for procedures, ICD coding for diagnoses, and infection control practices.

Experience

  • Prior experience working in hospital environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers with exposure to critical care and emergency medicine is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems including Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and data management.
  • Hands-on experience with suturing techniques, catheterization procedures (cardiac or vascular), airway management, and ventilator support is essential.
  • Strong background in acute care settings such as ICU (Intensive Care Unit).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy related to the vascular system, diagnostic evaluation methods, and pharmacology for medication administration is required.
  • Experience in clinical research or participation in clinical trials related to vascular health will be considered an asset.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory; additional certifications such as ACLS are advantageous.
  • Excellent patient assessment skills combined with the ability to perform physical examinations and interpret diagnostic imaging results are essential for success in this role. Pay: $115,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
