Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and develop individualized care plans.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions utilizing evidence-based practices across various specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, behavioral health, and emergency medicine.
- Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following proper protocols while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, dermal fillers, and sterile processing techniques with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner to document medical records accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, nurses, and case managers to coordinate care plans and discharge planning for inpatient and outpatient populations.
- Engage in telehealth consultations to extend access to care for remote or underserved patients while managing triage and urgent care needs effectively.
- Support diagnostic evaluations through laboratory experience, sonography, medical imaging interpretation, and specimen collection/processing.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Provide education on medication administration, nutrition, health coaching, family planning, and disease prevention tailored to individual needs.
Experience
- Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), emergency rooms, ICU/PICU units, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; experience with Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks is a plus.
- Strong background in managing complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, or occupational health.
- Skilled in performing advanced procedures such as spinal taps, dermal fillers, cardiac catheterization assistance or ventilator management.
- Critical care experience including ICU or Level II trauma center exposure is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards for documentation accuracy.
- Experience working with special populations such as pediatric patients (including toddler care), neonatal ventilator management, or individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous.

Pay: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
