Position Summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Arlington, TX. This role is a great fit for a clinician who enjoys variety, autonomy, and making a meaningful impact in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Our full-time providers typically work three 12-hour shifts per week, with schedules released in advance and no after-hours work. You will treat patients of all ages, manage a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries, and perform common urgent care procedures while being supported by experienced clinical teams, clear practice guidelines, and accessible medical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
  • Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
  • Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, wound care, splinting, and other procedures as applicable
  • Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
  • Code and bill services appropriately
  • Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
  • Practice in alignment with NextCare’s clinical standards and values

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA license
  • NP: FNP certification through ANCC or AANP required
  • PA: NCCPA certification required
  • Active DEA license or ability to obtain
  • Ability to treat patients of all ages
  • Active BLS certification
  • EHR proficiency
  • Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays
  • DOT certification required or willingness to obtain; fees covered per policy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
  • Strong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, wound care, and injury management
  • Experience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
  • Comfort working independently in a fast-paced clinic environment
