Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Nurse Practitioner to join our growing family practice. The NP will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including preventive care, chronic disease management, acute illness treatment, and health education. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with physicians and office staff to deliver exceptional patient care.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including obtaining medical histories and conducting physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Order, interpret, and review laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and practice protocols.
  • Provide preventive care, wellness exams, and age-appropriate screenings.
  • Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, asthma, thyroid disorders, and hyperlipidemia.
  • Educate patients and families regarding disease prevention, treatment options, medications, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Coordinate care with specialists, hospitals, home health agencies, and other healthcare providers.
  • Review incoming test results and respond appropriately.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist with office workflow and contribute to a positive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Tennessee (or eligible for licensure).
  • National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP).
  • Current DEA registration and Tennessee prescriptive authority.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).

Preferred Qualifications

  • One or more years of experience in family medicine or primary care preferred.
  • Experience managing chronic diseases and providing preventive care.
  • Familiarity with value-based care and Medicare wellness visits is a plus.

Pay: $120,000.00 – $124,000.00 per year
