Job Responsibilities:

  • Work independently under the guidance of medical protocols and under the supervision of an off-location physician
  • Assess the physical condition of patients by performing and obtaining comprehensive or problem-focused physical examinations and medical histories
  • Perform phlebotomy and administer injections
  • Order and interpret laboratory and other diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and health care needs.
  • Formulate and implement comprehensive outcomes-based patient care plans based on patient assessments, scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.
  • Recommend interventions to modify behavior associated with health risks, and evaluates the patient’s response to health care provided and the effectiveness of care.
  • Participate in disability case management
  • Initiate timely consultation and referral when the problem exceeds scope of practice and/or expertise at Grace Clinic.
  • Maintain accurate individual medical records that comply with company and statutory requirements.
  • Prescribe or recommend medical drug therapies or other forms of related therapeutic treatments and procedures in accordance with approved protocols/procedures/policies and with attention to efficacy, safety, and cost.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, employees, management, and medical staff
  • Attend departmental and mandatory clinic meetings
  • Follow all safety rules while on the job. Report accidents promptly and corrects minor safety hazards
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Education/Qualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years professional experience in a clinic setting with experience in general/family medicine, occupational health, or urgent care/emergency medicine preferred
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills (Internet and Microsoft Office Tools) and basic medical data management
  • Current P.A or N.P. license in the state of Texas
  • Current DEA license
  • Current ACLS certification from American Heart Association
  • Physical ability to provide basic CPR, if necessary, and manual finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination to provide patient care

Skills:

  • Bilingual English-Spanish is preferred
  • Strong organizational and written skills to effectively process all paperwork and services
  • Positive and professional attitude

Work Hours:

  • Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm, tentative/subject to change
  • Hours may increase or be altered to accommodate evening/weekend hours (based on clinic needs and provider availability)

Pay: $45.00 – $58.00 per hour

  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
