About Us:

this Is a comprehensive neurology practice dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care for a range of neurological conditions. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team. This role will primarily be outpatient-focused with potential for some inpatient care.

Position Overview:

The Neurology PA/NP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing a variety of neurological conditions in adult patients. Common conditions include dementia, cognitive impairments, seizures, headaches, and other neurological disorders. The ideal candidate will have experience in neurology or a strong interest in developing expertise in this specialty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and manage neurological conditions such as dementia, cognitive impairment, seizures, headaches, and others.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, including medication management and lifestyle recommendations.
  • Basic interpretation of neurological exams, and order appropriate diagnostic tests (e.g., MRI, CT scans, EEG).
  • Provide patient education, counseling, and support for patients and their families.
  • Collaborate closely with neurologists and other healthcare team members for comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up notes in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Potential to assist with inpatient consultations or follow-ups, depending on patient needs and scheduling.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in TX.
  • Certification as a PA (NCCPA) or NP (AANP or ANCC).
  • 1+ years of experience in neurology or a related field is preferred; however, new graduates with a strong interest in neurology are welcome to apply.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and computer skills. We use ECW.
