OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality healthcare services to patients in various settings, including hospitals and private practice locations. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Perform diagnostic procedures, including the interpretation of medical imaging and medical records.
- Assist in emergency situations, providing airway management and other critical interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Provide addiction counseling and support for patients dealing with substance use disorders.
- Collect and analyze data related to patient outcomes and treatment effectiveness.
- Manage Durable Medical Equipment (DME) needs for patients as required.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on best practices in healthcare.
ExperienceCandidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proficiency in MDS (Minimum Data Set) documentation.
- Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or Emergency Room (ER) setting is preferred.
- Strong background in medical records management and data collection techniques.
- Familiarity with addiction counseling practices is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to perform airway management procedures effectively.
- Previous experience with medical imaging interpretation is advantageous.
