Full Job Description

Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in various medical settings. This role involves providing high-quality healthcare services, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans for patients across different age groups. The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Administer medications, injections, and IV infusions as required.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations and interpret lab results.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding health management and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various settings including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and assisted living facilities.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions including but not limited to geriatrics, pediatrics, and urgent care scenarios.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to NCQA standards and quality improvement protocols.

ExperienceCandidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks.
  • Background in critical care, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine preferred.
  • Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and medical terminology.
  • Experience in specialties such as gastroenterology, infectious disease care, or behavioral health is a plus.
  • Proficiency in performing procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, catheterization, spinal taps, and airway management.
  • Previous work in settings like nursing homes, home care, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of pain management techniques including acute pain management and palliative care practices.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations including children and individuals with developmental disabilities.
