Full Job Description
- Under the general supervision of Urgent Care Medical Director/ Emergency Physician, the Physician’s Assistant is responsible for providing patient care in the Urgent Care Center including seeing, treating, and evaluating acute care patients and patients seeking wellness services, collecting and performing CLIA Waived lab tests, assisting with performing basic X-ray (training and oversight provided on lab and X-ray), documenting accurately on patient’s charts.
- Education: PA-C (Preferred), Physician Assistant License
- Experience: Three years preferred but not required in the acute care setting including Urgent Care or Emergency Room
- Licensure, Registration, Certification: Current certification of BLS, ACLS and PALS required. (ACLS and PALS may obtain within six months of hire.)
- Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills. Strong listening and comprehension skills. Ability to adapt to quickly evolving situations. Strong decision-making skills.

- Critical thinking skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Fatigue, high pressure, exposure to stressful situations. Compassion and empathy. Exercise good body mechanics in execution of essential duties, including appropriate back and neck posture.
- Working Conditions: May involve frequent exposure to communicable disease via blood and body fluids. Frequent exposure to infectious diseases, radiation, and hostile persons at times. Works with sharps and other potentially biohazardous material.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $65.00 – $70.00 per hour
