Full Job Description
Are you a Physician Assistant or a Nurse Practitioner who is both compassionate and firm? Do you have a working knowledge of opioids in a pain management environment, or do you have experience in a perioperative care environment? Do you derive satisfaction from a diverse set of responsibilities from patient care to administrative responsibilities?
These are the traits necessary to be a successful Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner at The PREOP Center in Carrolton Texas. The PREOP Center offers the only comprehensive pre-surgical assessment in the area for patients who are preparing to undergo surgery. The PREOP Center provides every patient with a thorough pre-surgical education tailored to mirror the postoperative instructions of each of our referring physicians.
Additionally, every patient will receive a mental health screening to identify disorders that affect post-operative outcomes and recovery (i.e., anxiety, depression, pain catastrophizing, and opiate use). The PREOP Center has on-site or telemedicine counseling services should the patient need them.
We write the post-operative scripts and see patients weekly post-operatively via telemedicine visits until opioid pain medication is no longer needed.
We are presently hiring to staff a new location in the Dallas metropolitan area within Legent Orthopedic Hospital in Carrolton.
