Full Job Description
Seeking a compassionate and skilled surgical physician assistant who enjoys positively impacting the lives of women through excellent patient care to join an all-female surgeon group based in Austin, TX.
You will be working with Dr. Ehanire (pronounced E-HANA-RAY), a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in breast reconstruction, and breast and body aesthetic surgery. Her mission is to uplift women on their journey to feeling comfortable and confident in their skin.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Responsibilities include serving as a first assistant in the OR, direct and autonomous patient care and documentation in the pre- and post-operative setting, occasional work outside of regular business hours including a monthly weekend call that is shared by the provider team, and communication and teamwork with other staff members.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a surgical Physician Assistant, preferably in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Special interest and value placed on experience in general plastic surgery or surgery including vascular dissection.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIESSuperior interpersonal and communications skills.Fluent understanding of the patient visit process, and the ability to interact with patients with care and empathy.Above-average professional judgment and decision-making expertise.Attentive to detail and accuracy.Adept at anticipating critical issues and designing effective interventions.Ability to communicate and collaborate within a professionally managed, established practice
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
Part-time/PRN or Full-Time (5 days per week minimum). Full-time would include benefits – medical, dental, vision, 401k plan with a match, and productivity incentive.
