A private otolaryngology practice located in Austin, Texas is seeking a certified Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP). This exciting opportunity is perfect for someone who wants to join a well-established small practice and enjoys being in a team-oriented environment. This position complements one physician and one audiologist, who are supported by two medical assistants and two office staff.

**We are open to the idea of two part time employees that would job share to fill a full time spot or one full time employee.

Responsibilities:

• Under the supervision of physician, evaluate and treat new and existing patients of all ages, practice and perform various procedures, including but not limited to taking patient histories, examinations, ordering and performing laboratory and screening procedures, and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures for a variety of ENT issues
• Recommend surgery when applicable, and complete pre-op and post-op appointments
• Use of endoscope for nasopharyngoscopy; training will be provided if needed
• Use of microscope; training will be provided if needed
• Instruct and counsel patients; promote wellness and health maintenance
• Provide clinic coverage on surgery days (no hospital rounds or on-call required!)
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by keeping up with CME requirements
• Maintain a positive attitude, be patient and have great communication with patients and office
• Comply with protocols, procedures, rules and regulations regarding scope of practice and HIPAA

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm

Location: Private Clinic in Austin

Compensation/Benefits:

• Competitive salary commensurate with experience and training.

Required License or Certification:

• Current Texas PA-C or Texas NP-C
• Current CPR

Preferred Experience:

One year full-time experience preferred
