Job Description: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant

Are you a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand new, modern urgent care facility? Rehoboth Urgent Care PLLC is about to open its doors in Arlington, Texas close to the town of Pantego, and we are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team.

Job Summary: Assists with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations. Mentor for clinical personnel at the clinic. Liaison with company contact personnel, patients, staff, providers, management, and the Clinic Administrator. Can perform independently or as part of a treatment team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide general and preventative care, conduct check-ups, treat illnesses, order lab tests, and prescribe medications for children and adults.

2. Assesses the physical and mental condition of patients by performing and obtaining comprehensive or problem-focused physical examinations and medical histories or referral to specialized care centers when necessary.

3. Prescribes, recommends and/or employs medical drug therapies or other forms of related therapeutic treatments and procedures or performs indicated procedures in accordance with approved policies with attention to efficacy, safety, and cost. Recommends interventions to modify behavior associated with health risks

4. Identify abnormal conditions by conducting or ordering diagnostic tests such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies, and interpreting the results effectively

5. Educate patients about preventative care and the prescribed treatments.

6. Manage patients who do not require complex medical management or specialized treatment.

7. Demonstrates the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of patients.

8. Maintains appropriate records detailing the patient’s treatment plans and outcomes. Initiates timely consultation and referral when the problem exceeds scope of practice and/or expertise.

9. Communicates appropriately with the person served regardless of their age.

10. Tasks registered nurses.

11. Complete charting and required paperwork in a timely manner.

12. Active participation in the development/review of office polices and procedures.

13. Promotes a safety-conscious work force and maintains good housekeeping practices.

14. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

1. A current and unrestricted PA or NP license in Texas

2. Ability to obtain DEA Licensure

3. Occupational Medicine certification

4. Knowledge of treatment and drug interactions

5. Graduation with a master’s degree from an accredited advanced nurse practitioner program.

6. Licensure as an ARNP with a graduation from an accredited education program and successfully passing a certification exam.

7. Proven excellent Quality and clinical Standards

8. 3 Years of Experience preferably in the Emergency Department

9. CPR

10. Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

1. Ability to communicate in English both verbally and written.

2. Excellent interpersonal skills.

3. Excellent communication skills with providers, staff, management, patients and companies

SKILLS:

1. Knowledge of information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities to include symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures

2. Knowledge of practices, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions

3. Strong Organization skills

4. Attention to Detail

5. Critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills

6. Skill in the use of computers and related software applications

7. Ability to interpret and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests

8. Able to be objective in investigations and personnel issues

9. Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality

10. Progressive thinking for budget, training, and quality issues

11. Strong leadership qualities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59.28 – $64.46 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
