Job Description: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Rehoboth Urgent Care PLLC – Arlington, Texas (Near Pantego)
Are you a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant seeking an opportunity to join a modern, patient-centered urgent care facility? Rehoboth Urgent Care PLLC, located in Arlington, Texas near the town of Pantego, is seeking a qualified and motivated provider to join our growing team.
Position Summary
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will support all aspects of patient care, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation. This role also serves as a clinical mentor for clinic staff and acts as a liaison among patients, providers, management, and the Clinic Administrator.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide general and preventive healthcare services, including routine examinations, diagnosis, treatment of illnesses, ordering laboratory tests, and prescribing medications for pediatric and adult patients.
- Assess patients’ physical and mental health by performing comprehensive or problem-focused examinations and obtaining medical histories; initiate referrals to specialty care when appropriate.
- Prescribe, recommend, and administer medications and therapeutic treatments in accordance with established policies, with attention to safety, effectiveness, and cost.
- Identify abnormal conditions by conducting or ordering diagnostic tests such as X-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies, and accurately interpreting results.
- Educate patients on preventive care measures, diagnoses, and prescribed treatment plans.
- Manage patients who do not require complex medical management or specialty care.
- Demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care appropriate to patient age and condition.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records documenting treatment plans and outcomes; initiate consultations or referrals when care exceeds scope of practice.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients of all ages.
- Delegate and supervise tasks assigned to Registered Medical Assistants.
- Complete charting and required documentation in a timely manner.
- Participate actively in the development and review of clinic policies and procedures.
- Promote a safety-conscious work environment and maintain appropriate housekeeping standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Texas.
- Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Active ARNP licensure (for NP candidates) with successful completion of a certification exam.
- Occupational Medicine certification required.
- DOT certification required.
- Strong knowledge of medical treatments, pharmacology, and drug interactions.
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality clinical standards.
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience, preferably in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care.
- CPR certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Language and Communication Skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, staff, management, and external partners.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic and treatment techniques, including preventive healthcare practices.
- Understanding of methods and procedures for diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating physical and mental conditions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong critical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in computer systems and related healthcare software.
- Ability to interpret and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic results.
- Objective judgment in clinical and personnel-related matters.
- Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Progressive thinking regarding budgeting, training, and quality improvement.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $59.28 – $64.46 per hour
