JOB SUMMARY:
- The Advanced Practice Practitioner, Neurosurgery, is responsible for providing health care to patients in the hospital and office setting.
- This position is responsible for working in consultation, cooperation, and coordination with a multiple supervising physician.
- They will function according to the established standards and practices of medicine for Physician’s Assistants in the State of Texas.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Education- Master’s Degree
- 1+ year of previous relevant experience required
- Previous healthcare experience preferred
- BSN, MSN, ANP, or PA licensed in the state of Texas REQUIRED
- BLS
- ARRT preferred
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies.
- Thorough knowledge of patient triage, diagnosis and evidenced-based care.
- Knowledge in overcoming barriers from diagnosis to treatment including: financial/economic, language/culture, transportation issues.
- Skill in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising.
- Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.
- Skill in problem solving.
- Skill in verbal and written communication.
- Skill in speaking engagements and other activities that raise awareness to diseases and disease processes.
- Ability to read, interpret and apply policies and procedures.
- Ability to set priorities among multiple requests.
- Ability to interact with patients, medical and administrative staff, and the public effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
