Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant with Rheumatology knowledge to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating patients, and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice. The Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care across various medical disciplines.
Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and document medical histories.
- Monitor and record vital signs to assess patient health status.
- Assist in hospital medicine, including managing patient care in inpatient settings.
- Perform procedures such as gastric lavage and cardiac catheterization as required.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide addiction counseling to patients when necessary, promoting holistic health approaches.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including specialists in the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) when applicable.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Manage durable medical equipment (DME) needs for patients as part of their treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Experience in hospital medicine or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in conducting physical examinations and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is advantageous.

Pay: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
