Full Job Description

Tulsa Bone and Joint Associates is looking for a Full-time Orthopedic Service Line Physician’s Assistant to work in ahospital setting assisting multiple Orthopedic Surgeons. Pay will be based of experience.

Essential Functions include:

· This role will be assisting in the operating room, along with assessing patients, writing orders, rounding, educating/teaching, performing consults and discharging on orthopedic patients.

· This position entails working closely with hospitalists and hospital staff to help to maintain the orthopedic clinical pathways/protocols.

· This position will require working with hospital staff by identifying educational needs and assisting with development, training, and in-services. Assist with devolvement of protocols to improve efficiency throughout the hospital and have a good working knowledge of CPOE (Computerized Physicians Order Entry).

· Assisting with chart audits and clinical documentation.

· This position will also be a point of contact in assisting with follow-up on general patient care concerns (during and post discharge), staff concerns related to processes, and for reviewing processes to promote / recommend the best practice standards.

· This position entails assisting in surgery, working in a hospital setting, and Urgent Care.

The schedule will include:

· Monday – Friday = 0630-1700 (Times varies)

· Up to one weekend per month of call/rounding

· Orthopedic Urgent Care Coverage is required

· One evening meeting per month is required

· Coverage of other hospital health systems may be required to support the service line, in addition to Orthopedic Urgent Care Coverage

Requirements Needed to Apply:

· Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies (PA).

· Current and unrestricted PA license for Oklahoma.

· Experience in Urgent Care setting or in Orthopedics (preferred but not required)

· Experience or interest in Orthopedic Surgery (preferred but not required)

· Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Pay: $110,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
