Job Overview:We are seeking a qualified and experienced Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our healthcare team. As a PMHNP, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive mental health care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. The ideal candidate should be dedicated to promoting mental wellness, possess excellent communication skills, and be committed to delivering patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess patients’ mental health conditions.
- Formulate accurate diagnoses based on clinical assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for comprehensive treatment planning.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, therapy, and other therapeutic interventions.
- Monitor and adjust medication regimens to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes and minimize side effects.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the practice including Psychiatrists and Primary Care Providers
- Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss complex cases and treatment strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all patients.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in psychiatric-mental health care through continuous education and professional development.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in psychiatric-mental health practice.
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license with specialization in psychiatric-mental health.
- Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
- Experience in psychiatric-mental health care, with a focus on assessment, diagnosis, and medication management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in psychiatric-mental health care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

We are a Primary Care facility who is focused on integrative care. We brought in Psychiatry almost two years ago and it has helped tremendously with our patient base. We currently have 3 Psychiatric providers and are looking to add an additional provider.
