Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team, providing high-quality patient care across diverse medical settings. In this role, you will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive assessments, diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans, and perform procedures. Your expertise will support acute and chronic care management, ensuring optimal patient outcomes while adhering to all regulatory standards. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews using advanced EMR systems such as Epic and eClinicalWorks.
  • Assist in diagnostic evaluations by ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Perform clinical procedures such as suturing, injection administration (including botulinum toxin treatments), wound care, and basic life support techniques.
  • Manage acute pain and provide urgent care services in outpatient or hospital settings, including triage and initial stabilization of patients.
  • Support hospital-based care by participating in ICU, trauma center, or inpatient rounds; manage ventilator settings; and assist with airway management.
  • Contribute to clinical research studies and clinical trials to advance evidence-based practices within the organization.
  • Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, post-acute care, hospice & palliative medicine, and home health services.
  • Engage in health coaching and patient education initiatives to promote wellness and disease prevention strategies.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms for efficient data management.
  • Proficiency in performing clinical procedures including suturing, dermal fillers, dermabrasion, gastric lavage, spinal taps, and laser treatments.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
  • Critical care experience within ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; familiarity with ventilator management and airway techniques.
  • Experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine (ER), urgent care clinics or outpatient settings; including triage and acute care management.
  • Ability to handle infectious disease cases with infection control protocols; manage dialysis or neonatal ventilator support when needed.
  • Skilled in performing invasive procedures such as catheterization or cardiac catheterization; managing IV infusions and phlebotomy.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards for patient privacy; adept at data collection for research purposes.
  • Excellent physical examination skills combined with the ability to interpret diagnostic imaging results effectively.
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team within high-pressure environments like trauma centers or emergency rooms; experience with hospital medicine is highly valued. Pay: $50.00 – $65.00 per hour
