We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Per Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team for Saturday coverage. Responsibilities
As a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant working Saturdays, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care in a dynamic outpatient setting.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain comprehensive patient histories.
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic conditions commonly seen in a primary care setting.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Prescribe medications and other treatments appropriately.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and preventive care.
- Collaborate with our on-call physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of all patient encounters.
Requirements
- Valid and active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in NJ.
- National certification as an NP (e.g., FNP, AGNP) or PA (eg., PANCE).
- Availability to work Saturdays is required.
- Proficiency in medical record keeping and EMR documentation.
- Strong clinical skills, including IV insertion and aseptic technique.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a per diem capacity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Previous experience in a family practice, urgent care, or community health setting.
Pay: $75.00 – $85.00 per hour
