A Brief Overview The Physician Assistant will work under the collaboration of a physician and will be responsible to provide acute care evaluation, medical treatment for the patient as well as patient education and counseling. What you will do
- Inpatient rounds including daily notes, orders (including inpatient and PACU). Checking labs, pathology, CXR, consultations, admissions and discharge summaries and prescriptions.
- Conduct inpatient consultations
- Conduct outpatient consultations to include history, physical examinations, ordering lab, pathology, and/or patient records with dictations.
- Review of pre-operative record to include evaluations, lab, pathology, consultations and work-ups.
- Assist with the coordination of the operating room schedule
- Colposcopy and other office based procedures
- Responsible for taking call on selected weekends and weekdays.
- All duties and responsibilities as listed above with the addition of OR surgical assistance with robotic and selected open/laparoscopic cases.
Education Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant education program, and be board certified as a Physician Assistant. Required
Experience Qualifications
- 1-3 years Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience. Required
Licenses and Certifications
- BCLS – Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required and
- PA – Physician Assistant Upon Hire Required
