Schlessinger MD, one of the nation’s busiest and most respected dermatology clinics, is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Physician Assistant to join our team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a well-established role, following a PA who has been with our practice for over 25 years and is now relocating out of state. We’ll provide strong onboarding and training to set you up for success, with plenty of support from an experienced and welcoming team. Under the direction of Dr. Joel Schlessinger and Dr. Daniel Schlessinger, a highly respected father and son team of board-certified dermatologists, Mohs surgeons, and cosmetic surgeons, our Physician Assistants play a vital role in providing outstanding patient care and supporting clinical research. As part of the award-winning LovelyGroup, which includes LovelySkin.com, the LovelySkin retail store and spa, and Olive and Delmar, you will be joining a passionate and collaborative team that helps people feel more confident in their skin. We are open to both full-time and part-time applicants. Responsibilities: You will work closely with Drs. Schlessinger and their clinical team to deliver excellent care, assist with a wide range of procedures, and contribute to research activities. You will receive thorough training and support to help you succeed.
- Conduct patient assessments including medical history reviews and physical exams aligned with Drs. Schlessinger’s schedule
- Shadow and assist with minor surgical and laser procedures such as excisions, cyst removals, and wart treatments
- Create an exceptional experience for every patient by offering empathetic, attentive, and clear communication
- Support clinical trials and help with ongoing assessments through the Schlessinger MD Skin Research Center
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records for all patient visits and treatments
- Stay informed about advancements in skincare and medical research
- Follow all clinical protocols, practice policies, and ethical standards
- Participate in a rotating schedule of on-call responsibilities for patient concerns after hours
- Be an active and supportive part of our team environment
What You Bring:
- Active state Physician Assistant license
- NCCPA and DEA certification
- No prior dermatology experience is necessary
- A strong desire to learn and grow in a dermatology setting
- Excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Ability to thrive in a busy, high-energy clinical environment such as emergency medicine or urgent care
