Job Title: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

About Us: We are a functional medicine clinic opening soon in Cornelius, NC, dedicated to providing personalized functional medicine and tailored wellness solutions to our patients. We take a comprehensive approach by investigating all aspects of health that could be contributing to chronic illness, along with developing a premier, personalized plan designed for each patient.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about functional medicine and committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing interpretation.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Prescribe medications, supplements, and other therapeutic interventions as appropriate.
- Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures, lifestyle modifications, and self-care strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to achieve desired outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Participate in staff meetings and continuing education activities to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in functional medicine.
Qualifications:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in a relevant specialty (e.g., family practice, internal medicine, integrative medicine).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in primary care or functional medicine.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care and promoting holistic wellness.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
- Must be detail oriented and be able to multi-task effectively.
- Previous experience with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system and working in an EMR environment is desired.

This is a part-time position with the opportunity to move into a full-time role as the practice grows. We are located at 19109 W. Catawba Avenue Suite 120, Cornelius, NC 28031.
